Biography

I was born in Barcelona. My parents, both artists, baptized me: Carlotta Elektra Domitila, a classic name with a dramatic sense. Acting has filled my life with dreams from the beginning of my youth, like when my father would take me to the cinema once a week. With absolute acceleration this experience constantly set my imagination running wild and I ran with it to the point of becoming one of the characters in a scene of my own.

While our growing years ascend clarity is attained, collecting hidden resolutions and unveiling the truths as they are. Our past experiences remain inside of us cultivating our gift as human beings and paving the learning path that keeps us dreaming. The accumulating past collecting moments of pain, joy, sorrow, glory, death, the rise and fall of love, fluctuating in their plenitudes will always remain as sensations that teach us how to live.

Living is our work when it comes to acting. The every remaining strength that comes from our spirit is our will and way in this world and for it to blossom pure and free is the base of our life and work. I want to communicate the fullness of life filled with vitality translated through me into action and I want to change the world with it.

Combining interior architecture, stage design and fine arts experience, I traveled throughout Europe finding my way in the fashion world as a model. It was to nurture my passion for film that I moved to New York in the Spring of 2004. I studied filmmaking in NYU and acting at the hand of the great American coach: Gary Swanson (Lee Strasberg's method).

Currently, at the hand of William Esper, I am learning the Meisner Technique. I'm also developing my American Speech with Pat Fletcher and Nancy Mayans as well as taking classes in Mask, Singing and Dance. I live between USA and Spain while I finish my screenwriting studies and invest a great deal of time and dedication in order to spark a steady but profound evolution in myself as an Actress. I want to devote my life to this "passion" that once provided me with many adventures and rescued me from the loneliness that we all suffer in childhood and adolescence. Acting is the closest expression of my being and I desire to share it with the world.
